Peer Support

The Peer Support program is part of the year 7 transition into high school. Peer Support is a program run by trained year 10 leaders who work with groups of 8 – 10 year 7 students in the first two terms of the school year.

Peer Support provides students with a small supportive environment that allows them to learn more about Kew High School. The program covers issues including building friends, dealing with homework, finding your way around the school, managing your anger. The students are taught skills and strategies to help the cope in the high school environment.

Peer Support empowers young people to support each other in the transition process into for many a new large environment.
