School Chaplain
Rosemary Carter has been the chaplain at Kew High School since July 2005.
The chaplain works at the school full time and is part of the school wellbeing team. The chaplain is available to work with all members of the school community: including students, parents and staff. The chaplain welcomes all members of the school community, whatever their faith traditions, and whether or not they have religious beliefs.
Location
The Chaplain is located in room 105 on the first floor. You can make an appointment to see the chaplain during class time, at lunch time or before or after school.
Programs
Peer Support – the chaplain coordinates the Peer Support program that runs during first semester with the year 7 students. During first term there are also Peer Support Activities that run at lunch time in the basement. (attach photos of leaders)
Thursday Lunch Time RAW energy – every Thursday lunch time the youth leaders from Richmond AOG come into the school and run fun activities for the students. These include three on three basketball competitions and free hot chocolate in the cold winter months. These activities are open to all students.
Friday morning breakfast – every Friday the youth leaders from Melbourne Life Church come into the school and run a free breakfast program. All students are welcome to enjoy eating hot toasted cheese sandwiches on the quadrangle.
