Throughout the years, Kew High School has implemented a successful International Student Program and that success has been evident in our increased numbers of international students as well as in their high academic achievements.

Our international students are highly motivated and show a consistent development over the two year VCE program. In 2006, 100% of international students enrolled at Kew High School successfully completed their VCE, and half of them received an ENTER above 80. We applaud the efforts of these students and are proud to have the opportunity to be part of their lives and watch them grow and pursue their dreams.

The Program is lead by our competent and caring International Student Coordinator who works under the supervision of our Assistant Principal and Principal and is supported by teachers, coordinators, the Wellbeing team and our administrative staff.

Co-curricula Activities

Kew High School offers a wide range of co-curricula activities that aim to make our students’ learning process a rich and diverse experience. Our students are always encouraged to participate in activities organised by our teachers and coordinators that can help them enhance their learning and engage them in team work.

Applications:

All applications should be sent to the International Division of the Department of Education which is the government department responsible for regulating the International Student Program at secondary schools in Victoria and assessing all applications.

Most international students are required to study English as a Second Language for 20 weeks at an English Language Centre prior to their commencement at our school however, this can change if the student studied for 2 years at a school that delivers its classes in English or if the student possesses an IELTS test (general purpose) score of 5.0. Exemptions from English Language Centre studies can only be authorised by the Department of Education.
